Cheatham County Historical & Genealogical Association

The CCHGA works to build a stronger county by capturing the Past, educating the Present and ensuring the Future.

Formed in 1994, the association collects and stores historical and genealogical information and makes it available to the public through a museum. Artifacts such as farm tools, musical instruments, maps, photographs, local business items, old school books and many more line the two rooms that make up the museum located in the lower floor of the Cheatham County Library in Ashland, TN. A Wall of Honor displays photographs of all those who have served in the military. Bound copies of the Ashland City Times can be viewed upon request.

The CCHGA also provides several special presentations throughout the year with speakers on various historical subjects.
